Morning. Suppose to get a 2-4" dusting up here. Well see whathappens. Just watch the other smucks on the road today

 

4" in an hour in Thurmont. Looks like I'm stuck here till noon.

 

Just got the call from my boss. Headed to work. Thanks jerk.

 

That sucks. I remember how NY use to get snow like that gears ago. Now we lucky if we get 1 or 2 storms

 

"I can't get out of my driveway. There's too much snow."
"That's because the county doesn't salt and plow your driveway, and you just woke up. Start shoveling and get here when you can."

 

Its the same here, This is not meant to be racist in anywhay but the folks that live outside the city almost always make it in to work some without 4 wheel drive. Some of the folks in the city ride the bus so I understand if they arent running why they dont make it. Others live less than a mile from the shop and "cant make it" Yet I drive 28 miles in to work every day because..... jeep, and I am a broke *** mother ****er and need all the money I can get.

 

 

I miss waking up early and shoveling infront house then taking then driving.


Same here, I have to go to work. When we had over a foot of snow a few years ago after Christmas, I had to drive in unplowed streets. My job didn't close. Many ppl are too privileged. Hell even after Sandy, I had to maneuver through damaged streets to move my stuff around. Gotta leave Jeep

 

I had to drive up here through the 9" of snow and ice the other day, but my boss just called off shift change for this morning because of 5". So my shift just turned into 24 hours, and he said he *might* tell the night shift guy to come in at 7pm to relieve me...

 

What hell of a boss, he deserves a bottom of wine for Christmas

 

Aaand he was overruled by the unit commander. Shift change at 11.

My office is open. Was open at normal time.

Ha time to celebrate and drink. When you get home of course

 

my work never closes. it doesn't matter what the weather is like or the what day of the year is.
