I mentioned selling my Jeep. And I am. You all know that I got accepted into Stevenson for my next semester on a big scholarship. I am driving to school 3 days a week, 40 minutes one way. My parents decided my blue 98 cherokee was not suitable for the miles I planned to put on it.
I told them fine, but I want another 4x4 Jeep. I wanted to get a TJ. So i searched and searched, and I found a 2000 TJ with 117 miles in excellent condition. Everything was set up to buy it, until my parents said no. They said its unsafe, unreliable, and get bad gas mileage. They pulled the my house, my rules card. So now, no Jeeps. But heres a picture of it:
That Jeep was at a dealership(my parents said dealers only). My friend's dad owns the dealership so my discount was for it to be only $5900. But no.
Now what? Well, my parents looked on the lot and asked if i liked anything else there. I kinda liked the 2004 Mazda3 that they had. It caught my eye before I even saw the Jeep when I was there.
So we went back twice to look at it. Now I am picking up my 2004 Mazda3, 2.3L, 5 speed tomorrow morning. It rides great, shifts perfect, and gets 21 mpg combined(26 mpg because of all my highway driving).
I like the mazda, but its no Jeep. So for now Ill just be driving the mazda. BUT i have a plan for another Cherokee in line. I plan to tag it historic so my insurance is cheap.
Dont kick me out of here, I still love Jeeps. I will have another one soon.
