Soaked Steves latch in power steering fluid for about 3 days. Works like new now. Finally be able to open my hatch again.

Edit: still doesn't work

worst day ever. I'd eat a shotgun if I hadn't already had 2 cool ranch loco's, a nachos bel grande, a double steak quesadilla, 2 red bulls and a mountain dew
