Came normally with 4:10's....But RARELY you will find the offroad or tow package 4 banger with the 4:56. Being just a 4cy 4x4 Auto does not make it 4:56...have to look at the tags....

just the fact that I wouldn't have to worry about a plastic bottle exploding and spraying boiling coolant in my face would be enough to convince me to convert it to open.

If I drive to the parts store to buy coolant so I can top off:
My open system let's me open the cap, fill, and go.
My closed system requires me to open the cap slowly and cautiously so it doesn't become a geyser.

When I finish adding fluid:
The open system is happy.
The closed system now has air trapped in it, and I'm risking an overheat unless I bleed it.

I'm not arguing about the effectiveness of closed systems, but open has less to worry about.

The only ones that explode are ones that have been overheated too many times. I've never had one explode.

I still don't see how you get air trapped in by adding coolant. Coupled with the proper thermostat (and by proper i mean with the plastic BB at the 12 position) burping is a non issue. But then again, if you are adding coolant to a closed system and it's spraying out, you already have too much... Only have to add if the bottle is empty, or close to it.

You're talking about proper operation. I'm talking about problems. Regardless, I'm done. Mine is converted.
