I flow 12psi of shielding gas. I assume you are running 75/25?
Yea 75/25. The chart doesn't recommend 3/16 with solid wire only with the flux core. I'm gonna play with it some more this weekend. Thanks for the tips.

Wanted to take the day off to do homework and work on the jeep some before my spring break is over. I guess thats what i get for working for my GF's dad. Oh well. More money for the 98. Bored TB and spectra cowl intake is next on the list. Buying injectors and tires tomorrow.

Same with mine. run some test beads to determine the proper wire speed and put it on full heat. You will just have to weld slower and I typically make a chamfer to fill so I know its penetrating deep

to continue... that is my tried and true method. Both my bumpers on the XJ are 3/16" and they are strong as anything. Survived two accidents and numerous pulls and a few winch pulls from my 10K winch up front

My buddy has a ford that likes to get stuck, what can I say...

Been meaning to convert the 2wd to 4 but I'm thinking if there's no rust then just fix the water pump & swap some parts over & use alec's lift on it & sell the 2wd

Let me know how that works?? My spousal unit likes the phrase "I got all the kitty and 3/4 of the money", but it is usually negotiable to only 1/2 the money.
