Unfortunately true. This is why I've decided not to build up the Camaro til I'm satisfied with the Jeep.
...Which will probably never happen lol

rip out all that air pump crap and get some headers that dont have the egr or warmup valves in them and cut off the cats..... its a good start

Compression was also dropped and timing way retarded... much higher thermostats all to reduce emissions.

Which is why the pickup has 11.5:1 compression, short tube headers, no cats and no mufflers just spark arrestors, and a 180 thermo
I also very much enjoy my 8 MPG *when I keep my foot out of it*

Cause ill tell you, it sounds amazing when I drive it to the gas station

I was reading up on emissions deletion, and I would need a custom PROM. Too much money for me right now. I'm happy that I finally get to drive it, so I'm just gonna do interior and minor exterior stuff without throwing tons of money under the hood. I really want to replace my leaking crush-bent, dual-cat, constrictive exhaust, but I'm looking at $1k+ for headers, Y-pipe, and a mandrel kit.

Considered it for all of a few seconds, but that's a brand new motor.

Bet is wasn't a '90 ZR1. The stocker '90s with the L98 had a stunning 240HP dragging along the 3,300 lbs of curb weight. We call them C4s because you just want to blow 'em up. (BTW, love the Flaming Yardbird. My buddy in HS had one just like it.)

Also, you may need to change your tag line to "You can't fix revoked" if you keep street racing.

My '91 Z28 is 4,300lbs with a fresh L98 (with SLP runners). Haven't dyno'ed yet, but factory specs say 245HP/345TQ.

Really not impressive numbers, but it's fun to drive.

'89/90 for Renix, '96 for old style HO, '98/99 for new style HO

If it has a D35, it might have ABS. If it doesn't, it doesn't.

check out jegs/summit for the streetrod exhaust kit. Mock it up and I will weld it for you... save the money and buy the best headers you can.... I saved up for 1 5/8 primary runners on mine... what a difference
