They're not hard, just messy. I just did one in the parking lot last month. When you replace it, get that hard pipe that goes off to the left of your valve cover to your heater core tubing too.

Aaron get a pickle fork or a prybar, a torch, and an impact gun. Heat the ***** up red hot, have a buddy shove the pickle fork between the joint and the knuckle and try down while you hit it from above with the impact.

Whet! Aaron, try and grind a channel into the end I between the slots of the castle nut and try to hold it with a screwdriver an turn it with a wrench

If you heat it up, the grease does have a melting point around 500 or so. Don't touch it lol
