Welded today for the first time ever. I did pretty bad. Lol. I tacked a cube of 16 gauge black iron together and made down beads on it. I have trouble starting my beads and need to slow down. I got one good bead, i thought so at least. Did it for about a half hour total.

What did you use? Its good for the first time ever. Down beads are super easy. Just go slow and either make circles or weave it, I like to weave

I just went straight down. Ill ask about that Wednesday. We have 2 lincoln mig welders. Not sure about the amps or anything.
