Ok...i need the help of my researchers.

I want to buy Fritz's Doetsch Tech 8000 shocks.

Problem is, I want to run 4.5" max lift...and he is running a shock for 5.5-6.5".

Now...extended length I am good with...extra downtravel is good.....
I am worried about collapsed length and over compressing (they have built in bumpstops though which is cool....but...)

Here is the research I need. I have a chart that tells me the collapsed/extended length of their shocks, but I do not know which shocks go with which lift on an XJ.

If I knew..I could look at the collapsed length of those for 4.5" and for 6" and see if I can live with the difference.

Any help would be great!
Thanks

sounds like a dead battery if you are just getting clicking. The starter is not getting enough amperage to turn.

Boy I've just fought a myriad of problems that were all tied to bad terminals on the battery end of the battery cable.

Well I should say, after I rigged them to be tight ... the problems seem to be gone.

Won't be driving it on the road until I can get it repairs properly, because even though rigging may get you home .... it may get you stranded if ya don't do it right!!!!

My battery cables fully corroded out and disintegrated on me. I made my own using 4awg wire and copper end terminals. Took me half an hour or so.

I can't say much for those shocks. Although down travel is great, bottoming out your shocks on every single bump you hit onroad sucks.

You shouldn't put your pipe in mud, it will get awful dirty. And smelly.
