I would be more apt to help someone I see walking down the road with an empty gas can, than I would someone just sitting on their ***, waiting on someone to just show up with the gas

everyone there is entitled for help after the storm, there's no arguing that. I'm just appalled that the person in that video had obviously done nothing to prepare for it, even though she had a ton of warning.

There are those of us in our society who are weak. I am not talking about INTENTIONALLY weak, because I too have no patience for that BS....but genuinely weak.

They have lost the ability to know how to prepare, don't have resources...whatever the case may be.

I think it reflects poorly on us as a nation if we do not thanklessly reach out to help our weak in time of need.

Simply to state...we ARE entitled to protection from it.

Just like our military fights our wars, not us...so too can they help in times of extreme need, like a natural disaster.

It's what is expected, as defined by being a citizen.

It is what we get for paying taxes and supporting a government.

It is not a "sense" of entitlement. It actually IS one.
