But fret not cause I now have a brand new tailgate, with no holes in it currently, and is color match to the rest if the vehicle..
Besides we had fun that day and learned an important lesson that day about what not to do.

I now have a working tailgate, thanks to some explorer struts.. no more need for the stick to hold it up when I need in the back..

how hard is it to use explorer struts instead? just bolt in? cause my white XJ needs new struts. badly, only time it will stay up is in the summer, sometimes.
