I was gonna do a snap-on/snap-off soft top about that size, but I never got around to caging the XJ.

Thought about you earlier, hit a deer on 109 coming home from Cordelias. I was so thankful that my Jeep is white and not red.

I've seen and been part of a couple of very, very near misses on the job due to bad cable repairs i.e. all clamps on dead end of the cable(never saddle a dead horse), staggered clamps, and incorrect clamp spacing based for the cable being clamped. When a cable is clamped rather than spliced the load rating drops by 20%, and the loads I'm referring to were putting much less tension on the cable than winching a Jeep yet still failed and almost killed people, including myself. It's not something to **** around with regardless of whether you can afford it. Save your money and buy a new cable, unless you like the idea of becoming an amputee or worse.
All of the previous aside, what happened to The Chronicles of Jakbob? Did your tardiness cease and the thread become no longer relevant?
