it is a weird corner of the internet (and certainly not the only one) where replacing an engine or re building a drivetrain is akin to defeating a boss on level 9 of a video game, yet (sometimes) properly using "their, there, or they're" is a foreign concept. that is not to say it is good or bad...it simply is.

it is a pack of like minded individuals just doing their thing...no different than any other self affirming pack. there is going to be small talk.

more on pack mentality here.
Well said, new guy There are plenty of tech threads on the Forum where we answer the same questions over and over. This is the place for the local guys to introduce themselves, get to know each other, and meet up once in a while.

I think you'll break the welded nut in the pocket loose and the whole thing will just spin.

No, as Vee said, you'll just spin the nut inside the frame, and have a whole other mess to deal with.
Use an angle grinder, cut the spring eyes, rubber bushing, all that down to where you just the the bolt going thru and that is all that is left there.
Soak in PB Blaster, wait, and hope for the best.
Or cut a small hole in the pocket with the angle grinder, I used a hole saw, then an angle grinder. Make it just big enough to get a wrench up in to hold the nut in place.

Just dealt with all that crap, figuring it out, on my black one. Wish I knew beforehand. Extracting first bolt took a couple hours, by the time I got to the fourth, it took 15 minutes. Had that ****e down to a science
