I was supposed to be installing my lift during my time off but the springs are on back order so now I have no plans. I have so much vacation time (82 days) saved up that I figured I'm going to take 1 week a month for the next 5 months. I would like to check out George Washington National Forest sometime this week or early next week though. I've never been and would like to see the views.

Are either of you (Bohnett or Brian, others included too of course) interested in doing some light trails / mudding on Friday? I'm off work. I'm stock but now that I've gotten a few of the used car issues sorted out (thanks Justin, Mark, Tim, Brian), I'm itching to get her a little dirty.

DON'T CUT ANYTHING!!! There is no need to remove your fan, all you have to do is loosen the 4 bolts on the water pump pulley, loosen up the bolts on your power steering pump (I believe it is 4 of them), and then loosen the one bolt on the tensioner and take the tension off of the belt. Once that is done, you can then remove the 4 bolts on the water pump pulley and then remove the pulley. If it does not want to come off, take a hammer and tap it gently while rotating and she will eventually pop off. I have never had to cut anything off to remove a water pump other than hoses in the 30 years I have been working on vehicles.
When you go to install, get yourself some anti-sieze and put some on all of the mating surfaces and bolt threads. Makes it easier to break loose the next time you have to remove.
I'm off tomorrow, if you have any questions pm me and I will get you my #

I don't know where any wheeling locations are, I have yet to go. I was hoping to generate some interest for Friday and have people give some suggestions as to where to go / where they'd like to go. As I stated earlier, my XJ is stock, and I'd like to be able to drive her home afterwards lol.
@Pulltabmike - I don't mind driving a little to get somewhere. What type of trail is that?

I'm in for something on Friday. I thought Greenridge was closed. I wanted to head to VA, but I'm willing to head wherever anyone wants to go.

Google Maps says it's a 3 hour drive for Brian and myself. If that's the best option I have no problem making the trip. If something closer is viable, I'd be more inclined. Brian, does that Washington Park in VA offer a place to trail?

Greenridge ORV trails are indefinitely closed to off-road vehicles effective like May of this past year. Sorry guys.

Sometimes a little patience is all that is needed to free something upBesides, you hit a nerve when you mentioned cutting a ZJ fan

Thanks dukie, wasn't too sure on the status. I've been wanting to get to the Barrens, and there has been so many closures down there I'm not even sure it would be worth making the trip...
