Remember when Chrysler (with Shelby) built a series of 4-bangers that were faster than the V8s of the day. Remeber when there was actual consideration for cornering with those.

Love that a Dodge Lancer Shelby ed. was at Mecum and was fetching $8000+

Add: the Dodge Lancer Turbo was the second most fun car I have driven (cabrio/rabbit/gti 80s orig being the first) this side of an exotic category car. Muscle cars are awesome, but the fun factor lasts only in few seconds worth at at time). There are a few cars that I haven't driven yet that might best them (focus SVTs, R32, merkur)

All that said...I would drive a Camaro from any era as a daily. Granted I would want it clean, very clean looking. I would upgrade the interior too...get rid of that crappy GM 80s plastic.

I love the crappy GM 80s plastic more than my crappy AMC 80s plastic. Wouldn't touch a fourth gen anything, though.

On an unrelated note, I recommend World Wide Stereo as a seller if anyone is looking. I paid for Express shipping so the head unit would be there when I get home, but it was still "shipping soon" when I woke up this morning. I wrote them an email explaining the situation and asking how much it would cost to upgrade the shipping speed. She apologized for the delay, said it was taking longer because the product was in a showroom instead of a warehouse, and she upgraded it to Overnight at no charge with a guarantee that it will go out today.

I don't like the styling, I don't like LT1s, and you have to lift the car over the engine to take it out. The motor is pushed back into the firewall so you can't cleanly work on the back half, and I don't like the styling. I also think they look goofy.

Sounds reasonable.

It is practical...which back in the day I would write car and driver over and over that they needed to shut up about their criticism about it. However....nowadays I would change it upand have custom soft cloth or leatherlike materials stretched and sewn over it if I was gonna sit in rush hour traffic on i-270 everyday.

Of course that may also be because I dwould have a light colored interior (off-white through tan shades). I don't like black, grey, or light grey interiors which is what most have in e camaros from the 80s.

I would also require a t-top or targa roof. I MUST have sunshine over my head!

I have clear and tinted t-top glass, dark grey trim, grey cloth seats. All the stuff I wanted. I just have to get the fake wood trim off the dash, courtesy of the PO.

You should post a weekly for sale list.

What are you trying to fit?
I was not sure if I was supposed to be pricing radiator fan shroud or ac fan shroud. I thought it was for cooling the rad, but wanted to be 100% sure. The shroud on my xj was not returned with the vehicle after the engine swap. I think it was cracked, but based on info from here, I need to replace it. I was told it's virtually impossible to find one at the JY, so I was pricing them online.

86 GTI was my first car. I got a speeding ticket within an hour of owning it. Damn that thing was the ****. If I could find the right 91 Mark II 16v I don't I would hesitate in pulling the trigger.

The fun of a muscle car is knowing you're driving/knowing you own a muscle car. Just like the Comanche, the third gen F-bodies are about having exactly what you want, regardless of what other people think of the vehicle.
