The biggest downside for me is they are too wide. If you use 8 lug axles you can use h2 wheels to suck your tires in a bit. For 5 lug axles it's hard to find wheels with a small enough backspacing for cheap. I was looking at Hutchinsons or Walker Evans but they are over $400 a piece. Width was the biggest problem with my old jeep. Next jeep will be built a lot different.

I would definitely be in 1 Friday a month. We just need to nail down a date to start doing it. Maybe we could start working on throttle bodies too!

Thanks for the reply. I hadn't actually searched to compare the widths; I was just thinking about COG after I lift. I did find this, and damn it's pretty:

The plan for my full widths was to narrow the front axle down to match the width of the rear. I believe in mine, there is a 4" difference from front to rear.

No bob! Just a cut&fold I've been considering it, but I wanted to see it done before I made the leap. I'm in no hurry to do it, as long as it's done before the Jeep gets bedlined.

Hello Gang,

I've been very ill and barely able to get out of bed. I picked up XJ on Wednesday and was to sick too drive it home. Glad my daughter was available. It runs fantastic and I just need a few minor things to be done. I have pics so that my post will be legal . I hope that all of you have been well and taking it easy in this heat and humidity.
