Anyone know anything ab ignition replacement? My brother ripped out my ignition on my 99 Jeep Gr Cherokee Lmtd, 4/4 bc I told him my key wouldn't turn. He's trying to put in the new one, but it won't go in bc there is some type of gear sticking out where the new ignition goes. He cranked it in this process without my key, and he thinks the gear might be poking out too far bc he cranked it without a key. Any info anyone has would be greatly appreciated. I'm supposed to be heading out of town Monday, and now I have no way of getting anywhere. I've been online all day researching, but can't figure it out.

Those things will tow a mountain. We drove one with the left front on the rim for 3 miles in Germany on paved roads, dirt, gravel, and potholes. Got to our destination, and the mechanic ran up to the truck and kicked the driver's ***. Then he installed a spare, and there were no problems.
