Take the school choice be it college or tech school and try it out, if all else fails the Army (the services are being more selective, they are thinning the heard out so to speak) can be your fall back. Just saying..

65K isn't **** in today's economy. I know at your age it seems like it. I make much more than that, and with a family of 5, still manage to live paycheck to paycheck.
Never take what seems like the easy road now just to sacrifice your future. I will push my kids to college as well because I did not go. I pay that price now. Yes, I make good money, but I firmly believe that I was unemployed for 5 months this time because it is an employers market, and they were hiring degrees....which I did not have.
ARe your parents smarter than you? I don't know. But I can guarantee they are more experienced. You do not know everything yet.
What I am trying to say is, if you have the opportunity to go to college, you would be stupid not to.
Don't be a fool, stay in school!
