Haven't really been keeping up with what you're doing. Did you recently lift yours?

No. The lift was on there from PO. Its a RC 4.5 and only had 1000 miles on it when I bought it. It supposed to be all upgraded stuff in the front. Ive been driving it now for a couple of months and lift is starting to settle in I suppose. Im just starting to notice things

track bar is upgraded with the bracket, adjustable track bar, upgraded tie rod, drop pitman arm, fixed lower control arms. I believe its all rough country.

I have the cruise module, but not the lines. Not planning another trip till September, so cooling and rust removal/prevention have priority.

Oh, and my new XJ is getting good reviews on Facebook lol

[quote=mikefrost;1774707]Vee, I know a little about it. First figure out what you're willing to spend and the features that are important to you.

X2.. its like buying a car, what all accessories do you want. Day/nite, motion activated, low light, no light, and what type of recording device you want.
Also a thing to think about is having hidden cameras also in the mix with obvious in the open cameras.

Check out some of this stuff, will give you an idea of what's available and pricing
http://www.newegg.com/Store/Category...y-Surveillance

here is a few.... http://www.supercircuits.com/ http://www.homesecuritystore.com/security-cameras
http://www.surveillance-video.com/
shop around and you will see various set ups.

as for the motion flood lights, only keeps away the honest thief.. (if that is not a myth). sometimes they give a false sense of security.

get another person to turn the steering wheel side to side at idle, look for any loose parts. could even be the steering box. lots of things can cause that in the front end...

I was just reading some stuff on NAXJA on a 98 XJ with upcountry.

I quickly looked at it the other day. it has the front engine one, gas tank, havent checked for the TC one yet, has the extra cooler on the front by radiator, some other thing by the windshield fluid filler that I have no idea what it is (not on my white one), and it's a D35 which is what they used on the Upcountrys. the sticker by the hood says 1998 on it, but the guy said it was a 99, so it could just be the model year or w/e. when I get home today I'll check for the sticker in the glovebox saying it has the LSD in the rear, and for the tow hooks.

as for lift, it has smaller tires than my white one, and looks about the same height, but I'm not sure.

this will be either confirmed or not once I get home.
