the last thing i want at the end of 4 hours of school and 8 hours of work with 2 more hours of homework when i come is to basically end up arguing with someone i considered a friend even though ive never met you. or most of you for that matter. this thread is usually what makes me happy at the end of the day and i guess you just pushed my buttons to the edge and beyond. i was probably wrong, but im not rereading that stuff because i need to be up at 6. sorry, but i cant change that people dont interpret everything identically.
It's over for me....as long as it doesn't continue. Hopefully we can gracefully agree to disagree on this one, because for my part, I wished no malice.

I'm leaning towards alt as well. I'm gonna pull the belt again tomorrow and see if it still noises.

Yes...we are kindred bearded spirits, and of course you are good enough, I would be honored.
However, and here is the quandary; you have that which I do not want, and lack that which I crave. Therefore, regrettably, it cannot be.

I have an even stranger issue. Driving my wife's XJ back from Ohio today, the ALT light (idiot light looking like a battery) kept coming on (usually indicative of a bad alternator), but it would go off if I restarted the truck. I drove 5 hours like that, so I know the alternator and battery are good.
Anyone heard of idiot lights going bad? Thinking of getting her a full cluster, that way I just KNOW what's going on...
