Had a pretty good day, bite was active all the way till about 11:30, we caught around 15 fish or so 2 chain pickerel and the rest were LMB. I have more pictures I'll post once I get home. The one above was the biggest of the day.

To anyone with car audio experience, do you wire the power to the battery or to the alternator? If you wire to the battery wouldn't it drain the battery when the vehicle is off?

Power is wired to the battery. The amp should have a "Remote" line. This goes to the head unit and tells the amp to turn on/off, so it only pulls power when the stereo is turned on.

Where would be the best place to buy rotors, calipers and pads for a 99XJ with cast rotors? My front left caliper seized up and got so hot it caught the rubber ball joint covers on fire. I've got 60k miles on this set so I'm going to go ahead and replace them. I think I bought everything at Rock Auto last time but I can't remember.

since you got 16" rims you should look into the WJ upgrade. just get the knuckles and everything from the junkyard, then you will have dual piston calipers, bigger rotors.

Ah, that makes more sense. Was wondering what that remote wire in the pictures was for. lol Also, I want a multi channel so I can do all of my speakers, but all I ever find is 4 channel. I'm assuming that would be 2 subs and 2 mid/tweeters. Can I just branch off the two speakers so I can go to all 4 of mine, and do I wire directly from the amp to the speakers? Is there a specific way to do it? I'm an aircraft electrician so I know how to splice and solder, but speaker wire is something I don't work with very often, especially when an amp is involved. Thanks,

Is this a direct bolt on swap onto my existing D30?
