If I put it on paper I can fold it and go regular mail. PM me your address. BTW if you don't want to make the brackets Nate sells them for $50.

Yes it's awesome to have a lift. And a welder/torch/plasma cutter and all the tools you could ever need!

But this isn't my place. It's a coworker and friend of mines.

So my fuel gauge decided to get screwy today. The needle is literally past the full mark, like way past it. Yesterday it was almost on empty so I know it's not full. It hasn't budged all day. Any ideas?

In the tank connected to the fuel pump is a float which dictates the guage. Chances are the float broke off or its stuck all the way up... But I would check to make sure that you don't have a bad wire first.

Climb under the jeep and shake the wires running to the pump and have someone watch the guage with the key on to see if it fluctuates. If it does you have a broken wire.

Was going to try your suggestions for the fuel gauge, but now it's suddenly working again so problem solved!

The float probably just got stuck... The older Cherokees have this weird thing with the full guages always bouncing around. I would take off from a stop in my 95 and the tank would go to E. Then I would make an abrupt stop and it would go to F. The fuel sloshes in the tank and tricks the float. Alot of older vehicles do that.. Luckily, my 00 doesnt do this I guess in 97 they upgraded the gloat assembly.

My xj does exactly this. Even around turns the gauge will go to E and then back

Moving around turns is usually corroded baffles in the tank. Only solution is a new tank.
