I know a guy that has a dealership less than a mile from me, he always has XJ's but they are usually in really nice shape and probably should be used as a DD. Anyway he usually prices the really nice ones around $10k (HOLY ****) but they always have below 70k miles. He sometimes gets some crappy ones in that would be good trail vehicles or even a nice minor project to make look nice, perfect example of this would be a '00-'01 Classic, the paint and interior looks nice but the back drivers side fender looks a bit beaten up and the hitch receiver is completely rusted and looks like it's about ready to fall apart (He just got it in so no price yet). I have heard stories that this guy is a bast*** when it comes to vehicle sales, but I always see people driving Jeeps that were bought from him and have never heard any complaints from the Jeep owners (although I have heard complaints from people who bought other vehicles off of him). If you want to check some of them out here is his website: CLICK!
I bought my Wrangler from them a few years ago. It was in excellent shape and overall I felt I got a good deal. Nice people to work with and I didn't get the impression they were being shady about anything. Never had a single problem with the Wrangler for years until the day the engine block exploded.
