I really appreciate the opinions. My xj feels like it has more power than my tj did on 33's. I'm in no hurry to get anywhere (not in a Jeep!) and I drive with the ol "bubble foot" to try and conserve fuel. I have no issues with power and stock gearing on the 33's. I just didnt want to get more 33's and then be like, dang I should have gotten the 35's. But I also need drivablity and especially reliability. I'll go offroad but if the past is any indicator it wont be as often as I would like. And when I do, I'm as easy as I can be because this is my driver. It's all I have.

I've run 31's, 33's and 36's. 36's feel A LOT bigger than 33's, and the noise and vibration at 40mph plus is a lot more intense. I loved the 36's, but if you're driving the vehicle every day, they require more gas, and your ride will be like a buckboard. If you're young, and your have no back issues, you'll be fine. If you have any back issues, enjoy the 33's for all they give you.
It's an auto. Nice call on the gps too, I didnt even think about that. I know i'm off by 5mph at 60mph already on the 33's.

I think i'm "young" I guess thats relative tho, my back is already sore from work (FedEx) so whatever! This xj has me a little spoiled in ride comparing to my lifted tj on 33's. That swb was brutal.

What size tires are those? How many miles do you do a day? What's the thing you hate most about driving it daily? Are you not going to trade it anymore? I pm'd you about it before...I had a "moss" green tj on 33's 3.5" R.E.

they are 35x12.50s, usually put about 20-30 a day. driving everyday doesnt really bother me. if someone has something that interests me then its gone. not going out of my way to look for anything though

Ya I know what you mean. Man, I just looked at your profile (answered my own question) and I'm only on a 5.5" lift. You have two inches on me and those 35's look sick but pretty damn big to me. That alone may make my decision. Plus I have stock fender flares. My 33's seem to look plenty big on my xj. hmm...
