Na it's a hunting/short trip only vehicle, has only been on pavement twice since I got it this far along.

There any good places to ride around here. My 4wd will be fixed soon and I'm gonna be going everywhere

Morris is fantastic. Our local group goes to Talladega alot and rides. No real serious trails but a few challenges and lots of fun. Always a good turnout

Im gonna have to ride with you if you think that Morris mtn doesn't have "serious" trails:stuart:

94XjSport94 12-28-2014 08:21 AM

For real. GBU, copperhead, Los primos, RBD, and one other one I can't think of are all though.

Has a big crack in it.

drhoward1988 12-28-2014 09:46 AM

I was referring to Talladega National forest when I said it wasn't that tough. Morris can be extreme. I've never drove morris only rode a few times.

Oh ok. I was wondering what you were talking about.

Still need to go on a ride with ya

I'm in Tuscumbia (I say Florence because most know where that is.)

No public land to speak of, plenty of nasty spots on private land if you have access.

There are a few good off road parks in North Alabama and southern Tn great riding at all of them.

That's 4-6 hours from here, not quite local.

I'd love to try it sometime but it's still deer season and I have a one track mind.

I'm still deer hunting myself. Haven't touched my jeep since last year.

Not sure where you live but the other guy is from Tuscumbia......a couple of hours away. Well worth the drive to about 3 parks here in North Alabama/TN line

Opelika, I was talking to the guy in Smiths when I said that.

There was an off road park in auburn but it shut down.

I've almost finished my OBA this weekend, waiting for my pressure switch and tank to get here.

Pulling the Jeep to a management area for the new February season, both my leases in Lee county end the end of January.

Cool, I've been here most of my life, left for awhile, came back to stay.

My work takes me to Montgomery/Millbrook/Wetumpka/P-ville area 2-3 times a week.

I wish I was down south because the deer season closes too early up here. We just got into rut and the season closes on the 31st. Last year deer were still ruttin the second week in Feb.

drhoward1988 01-24-2015 12:07 AM

It is a little better. 2 yeas ago I shot a 11 point non typical bow hunting. I haven't been since lol

I prefer bow hunting but at this point I will take what I can get. Saw a 14 point on bow-only land.......but that was pre-rut. Hoping I get a closer shot over this next week if I can call his big *** closer. I may drop hunting for a while if I can smoke his ***.

1Rusty92XJ 01-24-2015 08:09 AM

Our deer rutted week before Christmas, killed a nice 7 and decent 9 that week with my rifle. Both chasing does, it's been over around here.

There will be a few does come in late but they are few and far between, we're so close to the Chattahoochee that we have a bunch of Georgia immigrants. The deer in Ga across the river rut in November.

I love to bow hunt, killed 8 deer with it last year, this year work has been crazy so I'm just grabbing my rifle.
