Hi guys, starting to fix up my 93 XJ for my son. Needs tires was planing on 31 but unsure of either all terrains or mud. Any input of what tire and where to get them would be great. We are in Boca. I am hoping in won't rub to bad untill I am able to put in a 3" lift.

Welcome to the forum. You could cram the 31s on there but they will rub untill you lift it.

30 9.50 is the biggest I would run until lift too much rubbing for me but its your call I run 35s on 6.5 and trimmed fenders
