moe, I ran with those 3.55 gears with 33's for a LONG time before I got gears...don't worry about gears unless your going to go 35" or bigger. All you need to make sure of is that the tires won't rub at stock height and you can probably get away with a budget boost lift and run 31-32" without problems. Just won't have loads of flex. I think cf1K1 may have a budget boost lift he may part with...

I have a 5.5" RE that is not getting picked up anytime soon I don't think, needs some pieces but it would be a great place to start and save some $$$

Guess you're right. Ill just stay with them. And throw them on when Im able to get a little of a boost. Was thinking 3" spacers and a bastard pack?

That's a good way to start. Check with cf1k1 and see what he has left from doing his recent swap from a BB kit to 5.5". I have that 5.5" kit, it needs a few items but for the price it is just as much as a 3" kit...has full leafs, springs, and shocks(1 is bad). would need a track bar and drop bracket, drop pitman arm, new shock, and maybe some bolts and such.
