Idk if a lot of people are afraid of doing the work to make it roll again...
A lot of guys look at jeeps and say "that's going to cost to much to get it running again" or "I would rather pay for a complete jeep"....
A lot of guys would say they would want it now because it's in your hands but I don't think they'll know what to do if they got it...

I think That's common on the 97+ jeeps...I replaced my alternator twice already and replaced my Napa battery for a red top optima battery...

I think Optimas are overpriced and overrated. Unless you have a shat yon of electronics or use your winch excessively, a properly maintained electrical/charging system is all you need. Optima is good for one thing.."Ohh....look at that!". You can get the NAPA version for almost 80 bucks less if you feel you need one.

Hey Gary, did the engine finally go in the beast? If so, i can rebuild you one of my spares. Only cost to you, just give me the old engine to keep for a spare.

Well, if you got it used at approx 50% off, then not bad. I just cant justify paying some of these prices for wow factor/fashion accessories.

Rebuild a battery?
Sorry, been a while since I've heard that. They just replace the electrolyte fluid, add an additive and recharge them. So refurbish is the word you're looking for.

No mines still fine. Have wanted a 1991 and up 4.0 5 speed Mj forever as dd every time I get a little savings something comes up. Had a ladder break on me Monday came down on heal of left foot. Been home yesterday and today cannot put any weight on left foot. So there goes savings for rent.
