Correct...I've tried a couple of times and an alignment shop as well

 

Could the pitman of been splined wrong or indexed off?

 

Who knows...the drop pitman arm was already on there before I got the xj...
But before the steering refresh(new ends) the alignment was perfect and the steering wheel was straight...

 

Sounds like time for another visit to me...Also just ordered this.

Ok so I adjusted the steering wheel as straight as can be...here's a pic of the spacing through the adjusting peice

 

Tie rods are bottomed out in sleeve..

 

So do I have to adjust them again?
I finally got to drive the Cherokee and This tie rod is weird...
Depending on the turns that I make it doesn't stay straight or it goes back to straight...
Sometimes it's over to the right and sometimes it's tilted to the left...

Good morning all....
As many of you know work has not been great for me for a long time. Thursday a meeting was held at work. My companys been sold new owner take over in a week. There turning it nonunion ,one week is all the time I have to make a decision where I stay or not. After 17 years of employment ya think a little longer notice would of been given. Well I made my decision last night after talking to my union rep and.....to close to retirement so...see ya
