They're like 5 ton axles used on various construction equipment. A few companies like Meritor, Marmon Harrington and Rockwell International make them.

Guys, serious question here. On average, what temp does your XJ run at in this South Florida weather? Mine seems to stay at 210-215 and I'd rather it run under 200. It always runs better in cool weather (duh) such as this morning. I'm thinking a coolant change and oil cooler could be in the cards for the old girl.

On the comanche I'm running at 195 normal but in stop and go traffic I'm at 210
The cherokee is pretty much the same...I think it's time to switch a new thermostat in there

Should run pretty constant temps around 200. Getting warm while sittings sound like maybe your clutch fans are maybe getting tired .
