Picked up a '98 XJ sport this past weekend. Been looking for a place to test it out. Already had RC lift, 33s, etc. Have to get the brackets for the swaybar disconnects installs but don't have directions to follow. Was gonna try and look it up on RC website.

The only part not installed where the brackets to hold the disconnects while disconnected...I was going to install this weekend but mother's day and rain put a hamper on that. Still putting together some recovery gear before I head out. Don't like being the guy that isn't prepared.

Anyone know of any places around here to ride?

I didnt put the brackets on. I just bunjee them up out of the way with the sway bar when disconnected. I have the JKS,they recommended not using the brackets with my 01 xj. something about drilling holes in that area or something. Oh, and post up if anyone hits the trail!

Got pics of the bunjee setup you can send via PM so we don't hijack this thread?

I'm up for wheeling whenever, Sunday is open for me as long as it is a place close. Only had the truck a week and learning something new about it every day.

Hijack the thread we are the only 3 here.

This was my setup I just roll with no sways now.

Zip ties ended up being faster than the hoseclamp torwards the end prior to me just removing the sway bar all together.

Ran into a wiring issue yesterday. Apparently the siren (for alarm) wiring and 4 offroad lights were wired together. Yesterday I turned the offroad lights on for the first time and start to smell something burning. Turned them off quick and popped the hood and removed the positive battery cable. Wiring was all burned/melted, thankfully nothing else was harmed. Just got to rewire the lights and siren separate and make start looking at some of the other wiring the previous owner did cause I'm not trusting it now.

Only bad thing is I SUCK with wiring!

so your new lights are prolly pulling to much amperage. Maybe try and thicker guage wire.

I'm game...Married with two young kids so the more notice I have the better chance I have of going.

Hoping to work on the wiring, roof rack, and remove the rear swaybar on Saturday.
