Chattanooga xjs
I'm thinking someone stuck a t-case from a manaul on the back of an automatic cause the input gear is really short like the .750 one but I got a lot more shaft coming out of the transmission. What do you think? I believe there just barely mating up.
So here it goes...
I just read through "almost" 160 some pages of posts in this thread today... I've only passed through the area a few times is all and I'd like to know where some places to wheel are within say 2-3 hours of downtown Chattanooga... ? So far I've made a list of these:
Prentice Cooper
Lewis Chapel
Adventure off road park
Aetna (still open?)
My "lady friend" and I are considering moving to Chattanooga next year.. and it's highly likely we will. Im from Washington State.. the one in the Northwest
I travel across the US for work and met a gal basically.
With that being said, wheeling has been a hobby of mine for over a decade. My wheelin rig is kept in WA where I frequently visit just to wheel and catch up with friends. I'm used to very tight trails, rocks, roots, trees and snow... about the only thing i'm not used to is the type of mud ya'll have
I guess Im lookin for some ideas of places to go... I'm up for anything... from very difficult to just scenic dirt road cruising and camping in the area. I'll post up a pic of my wheelin rig and DD for now.. gonna get a new Tundra soon
Any advice or suggestions greatly appreciated!

Don't forget about Windrock, its only about a hour north of here, its the best place around IMO.
As far as mud,its not as bad as most make it out to be unless its been raining a lot and you can forget about snow because its not sticking about for long at all around here
.It might snow every 3-4 years good enuff to stick around past noon...oh and be ready for the heat of summer because it gets HOT.

OP mentioned AOP but nobody has mentioned Golden Mountain. Great spot about an hour and a half from Chattanooga. I'd say Grayrock but it's only open for special events these days.
