I live in the Hixson area. Just got my first 91 xj Laredo with a 3" lift. She's going to be my new caving Jeep when I get her going. I'll keep an eye out for ya'll.

 

welcome man, i got my 1990 xj about a week and a half ago, and look to get her going really soon. I also am in the hixson area.

 

I still have got to get pictures up here for everyone to see, but got some big projects goin on in the next 3 weeks or so. Going to put on a catalytic converter(required in Hamilton Co), adding a front aussie locker to the dana 30, adding a dana 35 to the rear (replacing the 8.25), chromo shafts in the dana 35, and a lockrite locker..... gettin her ready to wheel....

i thought aetna was closed? last time i was there they had a security officer sittin at the entrance to it from the neighborhood? i used to go up there all the time i now live in AR but i come back home to visit from time to time. act ill be comin in for christmas. if i can do a few things to it i might bring it with. i will need somethin to get the plasma cutter back with anyways. anyone plannin a trip for the weekend of christmas? when i left there i knew a few people with xj's dont know if they still have them though.

Not completly. The "security guard" is just a cop car from someone that lives in the neighborhood. I havnt seen it the past few times ive been up there though.

Hey TNXJ you know anyone selling either a winch, front or rear bumpers?

 

Chattacoma has dibs on the winch already but ill keep my eyes open for anything that pops up. Dont know anybody selling bumpers at the moment but do know a guy that can make some that would look better and be cheaper than anything you could buy


Edit: Found an xd9000i for $700 obo. He would probably take a little less. I can get pics if youre interested

 

im building and sellin bumpers skids rock rails stuff like that.

the day i was there he was just sittin there in the car blockin the road. didnt know if he was just hidin out or what.

 

Im about 30 minutes north of Chattanooga in the hills. We ride alot on Bakewell mountain, the fire break and all over that place, Lewis chapel around *****es crack, Also Sequatchie cove, bryants cove out in Palmer(where you gotta have a 4x4 to get to church) no joke! Maybe sometime this winter we can all get together and ride some.

 

East Brainard here. Got my $600.00 Xj about 2 months ago. Hunting out of it right now. Hopefuly with get it lifted soon. Post some pics soon

Yeah i know ive seen you at Aetna...and maybe the Jeep Jam at Ringold Chrysler Dodge?

 

Prentice Cooper State Forest on Suckcreek Mt. has some good trails, rated easy to moderate. Only they close mid December to mid March, otherwise open all year. Then Aetna Mt. in Tiftonia, All classes of trails.

Keep me in mind when you are going riding, looking for people to ride with.
