If I could get a hand from somebody after the roads clear up some...

I ran my XJ off the road in Pigeon Forge. It's off the roadway, and over a barbed wire fence. It's to where we could get a ****** rope on the front of her and pull her straight out.

I posted a thread in the SE forum with all the details, but screwed up the punctuation in the stress of the moment, and it looks like I'm offering tows in the Pigeon Forge area. (This is why proofreading your work is important)

I will be grateful for any help possible.

Right on! Once the snow stops and the road is scraped, I'm gonna drive out there in my wife's truck and further assess the situation. I'm just hoping PFPD doesn't get to it before me. I'd be broke if I paid for a wrecker for a tow, I couldn't imagine tow on top of impound.

I know my wife's truck cannot get her out, it struggles on hills. The poor thing would croak it I put anything behind it, and killing my only other vehicle is out of the option. My neighbor has a Dodge 1500 4x4, but with all four bald tires, I have clearance to use that, so it will be my first option.

If that plan does work, Mr Jomps I will give you a holler. After I get paid next week, we could go have a couple of beers on me for your trouble.

The roads are clear if you are up to it tonight. A neighbor just had eyes on it a few minutes ago, and asked if everything is alright.

My neighbor with the Dodge has bald-*** tires, so I doubt that will work. I just walked over there to grab it and noticed the front tires. The wife didn't gas-up her truck and I ran it out of gas warming it up (better than with her driving it I guess).

Well my XJ is back home where she needs to be. I tried with a friend's truck, and broke the ****** rope. Luckily, there was a good Samaritan with a HD truck and he got her out of the ditch. I'm not going to say the name of the company, because it was a company truck used to pull me out, but if I ever need to rent any tools or equipment, I will do my business with them.

The only damage I can see is the hatch is broken and my license plate is FUBAR from when the ****** rope snapped and recoiled. I meant to dampen it, but in the heat of the moment I forgot. Price paid is cracked up hatch and I need to get a new license plate.

Thank you Jomps for the offer, and I still owe you a beer for it. I'm going to go outside in a minute for a smoke, and I'll take some pictures. I Love my Jeep. Still running strong through all the crap she's endured.

I have a set of 31x10.50 R15 that I'll be selling in around a months time. Dakota definity M/T. By then I may have 3k road miles on em, so 90% tread. $740 new, I'll let em go for $400. Just gotta wait on tax returns and 35s
