hi, im new to the forum and wheel an xj and was wondering if their was anyone around my area that has xj(s) , i wheel Aetna like every weekend also.

 

I went last w/e with 10 other Jeeps.Had a blast.I live 2.5 hours away.

 

Quite a few of us on here but I don't ride Aetna so much these days. Too much drama. And I like Lewis Chapel a little better. Aetna got a bit boring after riding it for about 15 years.

 

well we're WeRock lease member so we dont really have much drama ; whers lewis chapel? never heard of it . i been goin since i was in a infant seat, never gets boring to me, its likea get away.

 

The Chapel is between Soddy Daisy and Dunlap. Aetna is fun but you can only ride the loop so many times. Creekbed on the lease ain't bad though. I know a bunch of folks on it I'm just not home half the time and mine stays broke seems like so I haven't bothered to get a key. That and they are slowly, but not that slowly, closing off the mountain.

 

Plenty of us around here. Lewis chapel seems to be the place lately

 

You guys should come to Huntsville area. We have a few options over here, and just got a new park, hollytreeoffroad.com, I went last weekend for the grand opening and it was fun......400 acres of undeveloped playground.

 

Im right in Fort O..about 20 mins from aetna, me and b lee from here do a decent bit of wheeling. We havent been in about 2 months though..both our rigs have been under construction. We are possibly riding lewis chapel this sunday if you wanna go..connorcovington will be there too.

 

Xj88- I live in fort o also ; I ain't been wheeling since the last Aetna cleanup , my Cherokees been/still is underconstruction.

Connorcovington- ain't never herd of it ? , I'll have to go check it out sometime .

Xjmarc- their slowly trying to close twra's land , we rock baught more property on the other side of twra's land so therefore of they close twra's land their will still be a road around twra's land to still ride.

Xj88- I was talking about Lewis chapel , he said Lewis chapel seems to be the place lately ;; right off 2a a little past snack shack headed from ridgeland highschool towards fort o.

 

Nice. My sister in law is out that way in mtn view.

 

TWRA's land is now nonexistant and Black Creek owns almost 3600 acres on the mountain and are building a road with tax payer money. Pretty much everything but the power lines is going to be part of the subdivision in the very near future. Sucks but it's true.

Xjmarc-how's it nonexistent ? I know there or a while they couldn't figure out how much they actually own ?

 

It was supposed to be 2400 acres but they had till a certain date to decide what part they got and at one point they had 1200 acres that they claimed and were planning on trading it with the sub people. Now no one knows how much they are claiming but what they do have is verticle clifts and land not suitable to build on. Sub folks got all the good land. Get on Aetna Nations fb page and the WERock page, Christy and Joey have put up a ton of info on both.
