Picked this thing up Sat, didn't run, and was covered in mud both inside and out. Little elbow grease and some band-aid wiring harness fixes and it runs, like crap...lol

But I sold the JKUR, bought a nice daily driver and then just picked up this XJ.

Brought this guy home too, chassis is in much better shape with lots of new parts on the motor, I'll have a 1998 Chassis later on down the road if anyone is interested :-)



Driveway is a bit crowded with just MY rides...lol

 

Well...got a second job (amazing opportunity) and ran out of bandwidth to actually combine two XJ's into one good so...I replaced them with this :-)



Went to get the title swapped and get the VIN inspected, parked next to a cute little JK ;-)

I'm wrapping up the final changes to my XJ now, fixing things from the previous owners neglect.

This Army deployment is almost over in a month. Been ordering and stashing parts for the past year. RE 5.5" lift, Bushwacker flares, rock sliders, 4.56 gears and Powertrax No-slips. The KMC wheels, ORFab front bumper and 9500 winch, are coming off the MJ for this. That's going to be my "recovery" project when I get home. This is what I'm starting with. So far, I've put a THOR cowl intake, Napier hood vents, custom aluminum radiator, M.O.R.E. HD motor mounts, Mean Lemons bored TB and battery cable kit and a full Banks Exhaust (Revolver header and Monster cat-back.

 

I was all set to wrap up my rear suspension and I ran into an issue.

Sorry if I'm hijacking this post but does anyone know of a good mechanic in the Palm Beach Gardens area? I'm moving in January and going to be leaving my mechanic of 40 years. He's kept my XJ running great for the past 18 years. I don't do a lot of wrenching myself so I'm looking for someone to do the heavy stuff. Any recommendations?
