I bought the gold Jeep in 2005.
I bought April's red Jeep in 2011.
I bought my old red Jeep in 2011.
I bought my Green Jeep last year when I sold the red Jeep.
I've had a few come and go in the middle but nothing more than junk.

My week finally all caught up with me.
Good news is my Jeep should be 100% for gulches. Unless there is a problem with the transmission or engine there shouldn't be any reason I don't have everything done.
I need to find a front bumper design that I like. I was thinking something like yours Andy with the Dirtbound hoops on it so I can still mount my light bar, but I'm not sure.

I love having the approach angle and the winch out of the way.
I have a short hoop bent up for mine I just haven't welded it on there. Kinda like I have the winch that belongs on the green Jeep that I haven't installed yet.

In all seriousness ive only really "built" 3 Jeeps. The 88, the 98 black 4 door, and the silver 00. The blue 2 door was already lifted, I just lowered it.
Ill end up making about 800 dollars on this deal moving from a rusty jeep with a sketchy motor swap to a clean unmolested XJ that ill build from scratch, no rust, and cold AC

Yeah, the way the winch will mount in there is far stronger than being on top in single sheer.
The winch came with 8.8 metric hardware. I want to make some square tabs out of some 3/8 or 1/2" plate and tap them for a grade 8 bolt too.
No, I'm 20...

Sure is a squeaky clean body. It's a shame it's 2wd, high miles and way overpriced.

That's the reason I bought my bumper... The winch sits inside of it at probly a 60 degree angle... so the winch bolts have very little tension on them... I had to cut a large section of the front cross member out... should have just done it all... and had to install the winch on the bumper before installing the bumper... not a major deal but the flat top bumper guys don't have too... Also my winch is out the way of the radiator so cooling installing not affected... I just didn't have the time to build one and at the time was making plenty of money to buy one... lol... shipping was free also!
