ok dumb question time.. can going doorless really bend the unibody..? my ac is out and I've been debating taking the doors off all spring now but don't want anything to get messed up

As long as you don't doing any wheeling, you will be fine. If you get in a accident that could be a different story.

Anyone need a spare transfer-case I got a 89 and a 96 or a running renex motor ?

I've wheeled mine hard without the doors and they have always gone back on straight. It's fine.

231 or 242 for the 96?

Yep. I used a dremel with the bigger cut off wheels and made plugs for all the wires.

If I'm correct and some one correct me if I'm not. The 231 is a part time 4hi with is out of the Cherokees and the 242 is a full time 4hi that was in the grands. And if so mine are 231s! Am I correct??

XJ's came with the 231 or the 242. But yes, the 231 goes 2H-4H-N-4L; and the 242 goes 2H-4FT-4PT-N-4L. There should also be a red tag on the Tcase with the model number.

Anyone want to buy a set of Quadratec XJ floor mats? $25 for both fronts. I cant use them with the cage now. I'll be at the Go Topless event.
