Do you have an SWR meter? And if so you're still getting that rough signal with the low SWR reading?

 

So is anyone here close to new Lebanon? I'm trying to find someone to go wheeling with and possibly hang out and have a few cold ones.

What antenna do you have? If you come on the trip with everyone I can bring my SWR meter and see what it is and adjust it from there. Or if you're close to Columbus we can meet up before that.

I live in newark. As for brand, it is just a cheap magnet antenna for now.

 

I got a nice 4ft firestik and cheaped out on the radio. But even with a tuned antenna I get only a 3 mile range..

 

I know with my cheap setup it isn't gonna be great, I'm not gonna be talking to people across the state, but I do like picking up the local chatter. My first truck came with a cb in it, an it was pretty fun just to listen
