OK, so I pulled the trigger on parts. Just parts to replace bushings and junk, no lift yet.....yet.
Tie-rod ends (all 3, just because bushing on one was poopie, figured why not), upper and lower control arm bushings (yes, I know a lift would some with lower, so I went cheap-o), stabilizer bar links (again, cheap because mine are wallered out and rusted like toothpicks, so I figured for another 4 bucks I get the link and bushings....right??), and stabilizer bushings (one is loose-ish, so....).
Looks like the upper control arms are the only real monster in the dark that I'm afraid of. Any advice or just dive in and deal with it?? Should I plan on making trips for bolt/nut shopping?
So, the lift I think I am targeting is the RC 3" with the lower arms and leaf-spring replacements instead of the adders - because I think my springs are tired and I would rather see new instead of band-aiding the old. More expensive and more time needed to save, but worth it....right??
I guess all I am looking for is validation in my madness ;-)
