yor 97 looks just like mine the only diff is mine is still all stock for now and a 5spd

 

The black Jeep finally died after 230k, so I am removing everything and installing on my newer (by 1 year, ha!) XJ Country. I already moved the new exhaust and cat, alternator, starter, ps pump, all new grounds and battery cables, optima yellow top, cb antenna & mount and today I did the snorkel. I still have to do the complete lift, (RE 3.5 w leaf packs and Bilstein 5100's) but I have been waiting for warmer weather. I have a few things I can't use, like the JCR skidplate because I now have a np242 tc. It's for a 231. Trying to get ready to go to Moab in October, but still need to get 1 ton steering and a bigger roof rack to carry all my crap.

 

Cedar Lake here! Heard about the bandlands but never been yet. Have mostly stock 2000 jeep Cherokee sport 4.0. Love my jeep just wish I had the $$ to put into it.

 

Anyone interested in the JCR NP231 transfercase skidplate? I don't want to mail it, it is pretty big and heavy. New they are $178, I'll take $100 for it local pickup. I am sure shipping would be pretty crazy, even if only from Michigan to Indiana.
