No the tree stump is what got it stuck. I forgot where it was and before I could hit the brakes the tire grabbed and climbed right over the stump. Of course if the grass weren't 24" tall I might have seen the stump....

Just got back from Haspin and had a good time. Had a couple issues with the crazy beast.
First off it did the overheating thing so thats still there, but it only did it once and was fine the rest of the time I was there.
Second it ran out of gas but I know it still had half a tank or more. It seems the pickup is messed up as it started right up after adding three gallons. Time for a fuel cell.
And third I had a tree snap underneath me and there was a loud thunk and after getting to the top I looked and it destroyed thespring perch on the passenger sde in front of the rear wheel. Looks like the only fix will be to cut the old one off and put a new one in with added metal where the floorboard used to be. I also need to replace the spring too as it's pretty twisted too.
Anyway, even with the odds and ends it was a good day. I found the thing really does well on the hills but I think it will do even better after the repairs

no pain....yet.....It may get painfull when I go to weld in some unibody stiffners though. The pain from the sparks and the electric bill
Actually I'm pulling the old spring hanger back into position, replacing the springs and filling the unibody in with some channel. It will be one stiff truck when I am done. At some point, maybe this winter I'll be puting a cage in it which will tie it all together and stiffin things more.
The outer unibody stiffener will be 1/8" 4x4 angle iron. Then I'll add some rub rails. It's gonna end up weighing the same as my Dodge Ram 2500HD by the time I'm done lol. Oh, and the floor will be replaced with some 1/8" plate as well except around the hump.
I did figure out the overheating issue. The radiator is plugged with mud in the fins. A couple hours of cleaning and it will again be able to pull air through the radiator

SW side of Indy. Near Camby. New to Jeeps.
Anyone know a good paint to use that I can find around town to match OEM Black? The PO let the clear coat wear off of his hood and let people carve obscenities in the under paint, and a good sandpaper
