My father used to be a appliance repairman. The biggest thing that causes these belts to wear out, other than age, is over loading the dryer. Also there is a spring loaded tensioner that needs to be checked too.

Well did some work on the new XJ. Took the diamond plate rocker "guards" off to find zero rockers left on both sides. Not surprised. So I guess I'll be ordering up some new stock rockers so I can order up the JCR ultimate rocker sliders. Also added some bedliner to the rear quarters then I'll be throwing on some flat fenders. Also need to do the cut and fold in the rear, passenger side is pretty much gone. Guess that's what you get when you buy a XJ in Illinois, lol.
