I wanna say yes. If you look there's a little seal where the shaft slides also when your drive shaft slips in and put the grease will come out the hole where the u joint is
alright I know exactly what your talking about. That makes sense. its really amazing what one can read on the internet some beleive if you over grease the slip joint it wont compress likeit should and cause all sorts of unwanted pressure on the transfercase output bearing and gears.

saw an older lifted cherokee yesterday. drove next to him a bit on 251 in machesney park.
