Anyone have some cheap 31s for sale? Mine are low on tread and very dry rotted. Want to avoid a flat tire this winter.

you are crazy I heard horror story buying cars from ebay. if I were you I spend few grand on a xj with minium rust or little damages. use the other half of the money to fix it up. in the end you have a nice clean xj that's what I would do. I don't trust buying cars online without seeing in person or test driving it first.

If you're ok with out of state you might as well. Fly to some big city in the south and inspect the car in person and drive it back

I work at a metal fabrication company and been welding for 3 months now. I had never weld before. after I got hired the company owner, who was once a pitcher for the san diego padres flew me to Wilmington, north Carolina for a week to the main facility and train with their employees. we manufacture metal hollow metal door frame. well here it is showing off my welding skills lol.

the rookie

prep up frames ready to weld together
http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...psuiflyxzj.jpg
tack up the corners after correct measurement, components weld on and fame corners are squared up.
http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...psxribx96s.jpg
end piece needs to capped off cuz the press brake we have can't fold the edge up.
http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...ps6nspga6n.jpg
lay a nice beads on the two corners and tack weld on the capped piece. the frame are 16 and 14 gauge galvanize steel.
http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...pszjpngajj.jpg
grinding the beads off, this is the hardest part, actually I picked up the grinding quicker than welding lol. should see how many frames we threw away cuz I blew a hole through lol.

I've bought several vehicles off ebay I'm not afraid just can't stand the tan interior. :-/ I'm still searching locally there are some clean ones in bensonville at a dealer but his prices are crazy

Brandonrcm 10-03-2014 12:53 AM

Don't blame you on tan interior. I would probably pass one up with tan interior unless it was an absolute steal.
