Hello all. I've been lurking around the forum for a little while now. I am from NW Indiana, I have a 92 XJ with a 5.5" Rubicon Express lift, 33's and a 4.6l stroker.

Well since I'll be stuck here in Clinton Tsp. Mich. (48035) for longer than planned, I figure I might as well do the Intro thing here. Most of y'all probably know me already, pics of my vehicles are in my albums in my profile. Retired, never really been off-roading so to speak. Except for once on the red clay lake bed back home when they lower the water level on Douglas Lake. My white ZJ was a red mess! It surprised me though. She came right through it slingin' mud all the way home. I had a blast!
Took two weeks to get the crap off the under-carriage.

Default 99 XJ in Lexington

Just found this site. Drive a pretty much stock 99 XJ. Looking to start down the path of another expensive hobby.

Default Introduction

Hello all -

I just bought a 1994 Cherokee Sport yesterday. Originally a southern California vehicle and stored in a barn up here in Michigan for the last couple of years. Has a bad case of piston slap but started up with a jump and drove it up on my car hauler trailer.

Rust-free throughout. Variety of problems with it but none seem life-threatening. Sagging springs, crapped out shocks, 200k on the clock so the engine is dicey but it still runs, stops, turns so it can't be that bad.

My plan is to return it to duty. I live on a farm in the Michigan Thumb and have an F350 for serious work. I needed a runabout that could still pull a hay wagon or do other lighter duty chores but I can't have a bunch of money tied up. This seemed like a good start.

I might put a mild lift on it to combat the sagging springs but will keep it to 2 or three inches. If any of you have any experience along these lines I could use some good advice.

Anyway, that's all for now.
