As far as I know, it is. I've talked to a DNR guy who said they just don't like ATVs out there. I've also drove past MPD cops who have obviously seen me go, they didn't even look twice at me.

If you go, just be respectful and quiet. Sounds like more and more people are finding this place. Its making me a bit concerned.

i just kinda made a little mud spot in my back yard. i have 4 acres and i really wanted a place to go mudding kinda. so i just started cutting some brush down and tearing through there with my truck. was pretty slick last night especially with the rain. and it doesnt help that its on a slope too so i have to have my wheels turned all the way to avoid sliding into a tree. lol

You gotta know where to go back there. There is ALWAYS mud back there, enough to bury yourself up to the hood.

There is a small chunk of land back in the very back section that I have only been through with an ATV, before I found out they don't like ATVs back there. Anyway, quite a few hills and such, would be a blast to venture back with a small hand saw to.clear the brush and open up some extreme lines. I bet we could really have a blast.

Did you find the 3 rock piles? Or the mud loop?

What you doin this week? That big open area is the mud loop.

Just past that to the north is the rock pile, then just north of that section there is the tight trails.

I've found there are several sections, all are devided up.

Id rather not go out there with a chain saw. If something is that big, it can stay where its at.

But smaller brush and such, i'll cut up.

I went down to the Eau Claire county parks and Forrest office the other day and got the low down on big falls and chaney rd and all the county Forrest land

Scored some pretty sweet maps showing the boundaries lines of the county owned land

Also found out that the land off to the right of the paved side of big falls (old sand dusky rd) is actually not Owen by the county is owned by some big paper company since the 70s when the old road and bridge closed crazy i have been going back their for so many years and never realized it wasn't county land lol!

So anyways I'm going out to big falls tomorrow to explore a little bit theirs a few places i haven't been and find some mud!!!!!
