My adventure of the afternoon. Not a place you want to be with a rental! Oh, and the little valley you can kind of see on the right, yeah, there's about a 15 foot drop down into the creek bed, once you get down to the "edge" of the hill.
Some was also killed here I noticed in the process of trying to get the vehicle out. There was a cross down in the creek bed, probably someone on an ATV or snowmobile that went off the edge of it.

My error in judgement, lol. That mud is slicker than snot and sloped the right. Someone had made it across before me but had started to slide before they got all the way across. They probably had a little more speed and better tires through. It was deceiving because they didn't slide all that much. It was hard even walking up the slope (across the trail) to brake off chunks of sage brush to use for matting. I got about half way across that section and started sliding down the hill. Tried to back up and just slid further down the hill. No matter how I tried to move, I slid further down the hill. A little extra pucker factor for the afternoon for sure! Luckily I was able to call one of the other guys from work, who had just happened to put new tires on the company truck he was driving, lol.
The Traverse actually has surprised me on some of the stuff it's gone through, believe it or not. It's more capable than I would have given it credit for before driving it around. The thing walked right up this hill. I was so impressed I had to take a picture.
It's been a lot of fun exploring around this part of NV. AWESOME scenery if you're never been out to this part of the country.
