Yeah I know. LOL. I have a few more things to move around in the shop and I'm going to get started on that Comanche. I want to get it running before the end of January. That's my goal at least, finish a project a month. My new years goal. LOL.

Default limited update

got it off trailer drove it around the block, jamesp swears its the transfer case, and iu believe him.... gonna put my old xj wheels and tires on it and yank front driveline, it should fix the problem if its transfer case... and its obvious that po did not remove the tranny and transfer like he said he did.... so yeah! easy fix

i think its still the transfer case, i pulled the front driveline and now it slips likw crazy with only the rear driveline hooked up. so here's my theory.... it was pulling on the front wheels and the backs are slipping do to transfer case not feeding them juice. so with both driveline connected it pulls like normal through first gear, when it shifts to 2nd it kinda bucks and slips. i think the transfer case is screwed up and for some reason the viscocity joint is slipping on the rear output. change transfer case problem solved right right! ok brain storm over

If it pulls good in first then slips in second thats not the transfer case.

It was "grabbing" .. when he undid the front drive shaft it quit moving. My 97 has had the front unhooked for over a year. When it was hooked up my zj did the exact same thing that woodie's is doing.

right now to put a np 242 in it and keep it. i might eventually yank it down and part it out, but for now it's in too good of shape and i can drive it to work. just means i can take the 99 down for repairs if i need to. everything works on it and once i get the transfercase changed it will drive out fine.... and u know soon as thats done its gonna get a 3" lift and 31 10.5's lol. ebay... 3" hockey pucks and shocks 199$ free shipping.

anyone interested ing the 15" honeycombs that came off of it? i'm thinking 100$ all four???? i am also considering selling the 96 once i get it put back together with new lift kit. take that money and go all out on the 99 with lockers, roof rack, rear bumper and spare tire rack, go ahead and install my 4.56 gears while i'm at it and it be my new trail rig since it "needs a few more dents in it!" lmao

yeah its definately only pulling on the front tires, the trans shifts fine, it a delivery issue. only the fronts are getting any power the np 249 is jacked up i'm quite certain of that. if it was the tranny it wouldn't make a crap which driveline was hooked up to where u know... po said he pulled the tranny and the transfer and looked em over really good, thats not true there's 20 years of crap on every bolt and u can tell none of them have been pulled in quite some time. he was just not a chrysler fan, he's a ford guy and didn't want to screw with it. good news for me i been wanting a v8 cherokee, i was just looking for a 5.9 magnum truck. one day i will find one. speaking of , i bet that 318 would scream in an xj!
