Will a 4.0 HO engine fit in a 87 cherokee wagoneer 4x4?

Yes it will .. the 88 Cherokee i drive which my dad bought used in 92, now has a 92 HO engine in it. Dad put it in the jeep in 94 after the old one seized in a roll over. Its still running strong today.
